Animals were intended for man's enjoyment and use, however, the Bible does not indicate that there is life after death for animals. It may be that God's purpose for animals is fulfilled on this earth, however, if animals would make us happier in heaven, surely there will be a place for them there.
Will there be animals in heaven?
In Isaiah 65:25, the Bible say "the wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. This verse describes the peace that will exist in God's future kingdom, but is not clear enough to conclude that animals will indeed exist in heaven.
The third heaven is where God dwells. The first heaven is the sky that can be seen from Earth during the day, the second heaven is the space that can be seen during the night, the third heaven is the spiritual place where God dwells.
What is the "third heaven"?
I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. (2 Corinthians 12:2)
