golan heights

According to Israel Breaking News, the Syrian foreign Minister informed the United Nations of intentions to seize control of the Golan Heights.

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem recently addressed the UN General Assembly, accusing Israel of supporting terrorism while warning that his country intends to “liberate” the Golan Heights from Israel.

“Israel supported terrorist organizations in southern Syria and intervened to protect them,” Muallem said. “Just as we liberated southern Syria from terrorists, we are determined to restore the Golan Heights to the borders set in 1967.”

Syrian state media often describe Israeli air strikes against Syrian or Iranian military sites as support for terrorist groups.

We call on Israel to comply with UN resolutions and allow the Palestinians to establish their state.
After Arab aggression led to the 1967 Six-Day War, Israel conquered almost 700 square miles of territory in the Golan Heights from Syria, ending years of the ongoing and indiscriminate shelling of Israeli towns in the valley below. In the 1973 Yom Kippur War, the Syrian army overran much of the Golan but was finally repelled at great cost by the IDF. The Golan was annexed by Menachem Begin’s Israeli government in 1981.

This land rightfully belongs to the people of Israel. Not only has the land been given to Israel by the Lord and creator of this universe, the land was conquered and taken from the Syrians during the Six-Day War. This situation goes hand in hand with other challenges such as control over the Temple Mount and what seems like never ending process to negotiate peace in the Middle East.

Peace will not come until the King of Kings returns to judge this world and the inhabitants therein of their crimes against God.

3 terror groups that have sworn allegiance to ISIS have begun operating in the Syrian Golan Heights. A new recording that was published shows the weapons that they captured from rival rebel groups as well as how they have reinforced their positions near the Israeli border.

In the Syrian Golan Heights recently, 3 terror groups have united under the ISIS flag. In video documentation that was recently published, battles to control the Yarmouk Valley between these groups and rival rebel groups led by the Free Syrian Army were displayed along the Israeli-Jordanian-Syrian border.

ISIS aims to strengthen its influence in the region adjacent to Israel. They are taking over heavy weapons including tanks. These remote villages are only kilometers away from Israel. For relatively minor offenses in these areas, people are displayed getting lashes in the video clip. All of this presents a clear threat to Israel for Syria’s internal problems at this stage are along the border.
