Are you religious or spiritual? Being religious is to be motivated to take action according to the principal of the law in order to maintain an approved standard, while being spiritual is to take action according to the special need in any given situation. The difference between the religious, and the spiritual is, the religious are trying to maintain a rigid standard, while the spiritual are trying to preserve people. Christianity to the religious is but a means to a better life, IE, to get their prayers answered, to get G-d to bless their business, or their family and marriage, etc. While the spiritual look forward to a better world, they realize that by blessing the world around them, they set in motion blessings for their own life. The religious use their faith to insulate themselves from the world, while the spiritual use their faith to impact the world. The religious attack the people of the world, while they that are spiritual love the people of the world. The religious are aggressive and combative towards the peoples of the world, they support the idea of killing abortion doctors, and will often declare some disaster like Hurricane Katrina or Ike as being the judgement of G-d. Yeshua would have never done this, and does not recognize that kind of Christianity. Yeshua when He was here on earth was never vindictive, He was here to do one thing, and that was to please the Father by loving His creation into eternity. And the spiritual person understands this, and does the same. The religious will do what is right, the spiritual will do what is needed. The religious define what is right by an unfeeling unyielding code of ethics, of which at times I have been equally guilty of myself. However G-d defines right by the need and condition of one’s heart. Now let us look at some examples of spiritual reckoning; was it lawful for Yeshua to send and anoint a promiscuous five time divorcee Samaritan woman, back to her city in order to bring about an area-wide revival? John 4:7-30. What about, “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” 2 Cor. 6:14. And Hosea 1:2. Where G-d tells Hosea to go out and marry a heathen prostitute? In Deut. 23:3 “An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the Lord for ever:” and Neh. 13:1 “On that day they read in the book of Moses in the audience of the people; and therein was found written, that the Ammonite and the Moabite should not come into the congregation of God for ever;” So what about the book of Ruth? Naomi who is a Moabite, not only finds a place in the assembly of G-d’s people, she is in the linage of Yeshua HaMashiach. Now is that lawfuly right? It has to be right because G-d ordained it.

There are some here on PT without mentioning any names, that live and walk in the spirit of Yeshua, and these are truly a blessing in G-d’s sight. However it is way too easy for Christians to get caught up in Religious Legalism, wherein we become like the Pharisees, so engulfed in G-d’s laws that we miss the supreme nature of G-d’s love. It is my prayer that not only myself would learn to lean more towards G-d’s loving grace, and less towards Religiosity. But that everyone here on PT would strive to do likewise. To where we put Brandon out of a job, when he can no longer find any more unseemly post to delete, or bickering discussions to have to lock down. Amen!

Here is some more information I found:
"Right now, there is a computer chip the size of a grain of rice. (1/4 inch long) This computer chip can carry all information on any individual and is self charging. It is charged by the bodies heat, and after planners spent 1.5 million of your tax dollars, they found out that the best places to put this chip would be in the right hand or if that is missing, in the forehead. This chip will be interjected in the hand or forehead in the same way as a shot. There will be 18 digits, your zip code, plus the extra four digits after the dash and your social security number, burned on the chip. These 18 digits will be grouped in three groups of six numbers. (000000 000000 000000)

(#BT952000--called Emergency Intrusive Identification Locator)
The chips contain a plethora of medical information and can be programmed to hold pretty much anything. This glass tube has 250,000 electronic components in it. It is a super sophisticated multi layered micro processor which is both a transmitter and a transponder. It can transmit to satellite continuously through short bursts of ultra high frequency. This chip has a charging circuit and battery.

The battery is made of lithium. It is charged for life by the body heat fluctuations. The battery has a thermal recharging circuit that utilizes fluctuations in your own body's heat. It recharges the lithium battery and it remains charged for life. Organizers and planners spent 1.5 million dollars of medical research money, (tax payers money) to analyze the two best parts of the body in which to implant this thing in order to take advantage of maximum degrees of temperature variation. After months of research and 1.5 million dollars, they determined the two best places to implant it would be first, the right hand, and if you were missing your right hand, your forehead.

It will be injected (like a shot) underneath the skin. According to Dr. Sanders, this transponder technology will enable the closed surveillance of every man, woman and child in the world. It puts out a digital created signal at specific intervals. This particular interval is a locator signal. It gives vital information on the individual as well as a locator marker signal. It has a release pattern, separate receiving antenna, separate broadcasting antenna.

They already chip every pet to move through the pet store...apparently we're next...I am expecting a child in January and we plan on more thereafter, should time stand. I can only imagine this 'chipping' type of thing could become routine... This thing even has FDA approval as reported by MSNBC ... What do you think?

Here's an interesting letter...

Notes on Antichrist - May 15, 2006

Greetings Brethren;

There are only four verses in Scripture referring to "antichrist" by name and one has to ask why the apostle John -- and only John -- mentions him. Well, when were John’s books written? Around 95 to 105 A.D.. The other apostles had all been martyred and John was the only one still alive. By that time, many heresies had entered the church: the Marcionites, the Gnostics, the Nicolaitans, the Balaamites, etc., etc., and John knew about them all.

In my opinion, John’s Gospel and his epistle’s were written primarily to combat those heresies. For instance, John 1:1-18 directly refutes the Gnostic view of the nature of Jesus while the rest of John’s Gospel flatly declares Jesus’ deity and His oneness with God the Father. In my opinion, the four versus in 1st and 2nd John referring to antichrist were written for the same purpose: to combat false views that existed in the early church. The phraes "you have heard" shows that the idea of a coming super bad character called "The Antichrist" was already in the Church. . . .

1 John 2:18, "Children, it is the last hour; and just as you have heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen; from this we know that it is the last time." (NAS)

1 John 2:22, "Who is a liar but the one that denies that Jesus is the Christ. He is THE antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father." (NAS)

1 John 4:3, "And every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; and this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming; and now it is already in the world." (NAS)

2 John 7, "For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is THE deceiver and the antichrist." (NAS)

So obviously the spirit of Antichrist already existed in John’s time and he makes no mention of one to come. John also said the church had "heard" antichrist was coming, but then, the Church had also heard another heresy, that Jesus had not come in the flesh, which John straightened out in 1 John 4:1-3. You see what the apostle was doing, don’t you? The 1st century idea of a coming antichrist was just another heresy John was addressing.

In 2ndThessalonians 2 we read about a "man" that "sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God." Many believe that "man" to "THE Antichrist" and surely he is against the Lord, but is he the Antichrist of popular belief? Well, let’s look at the Temple of God. The temple in Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans in 70 A.D. Many believe 1st Thessalonians was written before that destruction, but Scripture indicates otherwise.

1Thessalonians 2:16 "Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath is come upon them to the uttermost." Look at the tense of the verb -- past tense, so to what "wrath" could Paul be referring if it wasn’t the fall of Jerusalem? Consequently, Paul wrote 2nd Thessalonians after the destruction of the temple. Now lets look at where God’s Temple is located after the physical temple in Jeruslaem was destroyed:

1 Corinthians 3:16 "Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?"

2 Corinthians 6:16 "And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people."

Ephesians 2:22 "In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit."

Once we know where the temple is, we can then look at 2nd Thessalonians 2 in a new light . . .

2 Thessalonians 2:3-6 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called god, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God."

Now that we understand where the temple of God is during the Christian Era, this "he" that takes his seat in the human heart is obviously not a human being at all, but a spirit, the same "spirit of antichrist" mentioned in 1st and 2nd John . . . and who is the man of sin if it isn't Satan?

Ellis Skolfield
Be blessed.

What do you think it means, the antichrist having no regard for the desire of women? Do you think the antichrist could come out of the middle east instead of the EU? I have a feeling that Ahmadinejad is the antichrist or that he will have something to do with the antichrist. Probably more to do with the antichrist than being the antichrist. I came across some different perspectives than what I've heard.

37Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.

http://www.biblicalresearch.info/page60.html

BUT what is meant by the expression in Daniel 11:37, "the desire of women"? The verse is dealing with the gods that are worshiped in the Tribulation. The last term signifies the gods of all other nations. But between these phrases is "the desire of women." Since it is thus sandwiched between these two expressions referring to the various gods of the nations, the implication is that it likewise refers to a god. What then does this expression, desire of women, mean in Jewish thought? We learn that it was the desire of the Jewish women to become the mother of the Messiah. Thus the Messiah, then, is probably "the desire of women," of the Jewish women. When we study messianic prophecy, we see that He is God in human form who enters the world by miraculous conception and virgin birth. He is truly a man and at the same time He is God--not God and man (a monstrosity), but the God-man. See such passages as Isaiah 7:14, 9:6; John 1:1-18, Philippians 2:5-11, and Hebrews, chapters 1 and 2.

When we recognize that "the desire of women" refers to the divine-human Messiah, and when we see that this willful king is opposed to all gods and equally to this one, "desire of women," we see that he is likewise opposed to Christ. Thus this passage shows that though the church is removed from the earth before the Tribulation, Christ will be preached and Christianity will continue to exist during the Tribulation. As suggested above, the banner of Prince Immanuel that the ascending church drops as it wends its way to meet the Lord in the air is picked up by the 144,000 Jewish evangelists, who accept the message which we are now giving to Israel, who rush forth into the breach that has been left by the departing church and go forward into battle, pressing the claims of Jesus Christ upon the world. These evangelists bring about the world's greatest revival, in which multiplied millions and hundreds of millions of souls will accept Jesus Christ and wash their robes and make them white in the blood of the Lamb.

9 Reasons Why the Antichrist is not a European (http://jesus-is-the-way.com/10Reasons.html)

1. The kingdom of the antichrist is from one of the parts of Alexander the Great's empire, none of which is in Europe.

2. The antichrist is called by name the "Assyrian". (Assyrian, or Seleucid, is that part of the Grecian empire out of which antichrist arises.)

3. The antichrist is also called the "king of the north". Europe is not north of Israel. (see Daniel chapter 11).
06-08-2005 emendation starts here> The historical King of the North which occupies a great deal of Daniel chapter 11, beginning with verse 6, is the ancient King of Assyria. Verses 6,7,8,11,13,15 specifically refer by title to this ancient king, who is not a European. The future portion of the prophecy in Daniel 11 (which is yet unfilled) begins in verse 36 with a reference to the "king" who shall do according to his will." This king himself (as opposed to his kingdom), who is clearly the antichrist, is also referred to as the "king of the north" in verse 40, thus identifying the antichrist with the historical King of Assyria, not some European place of origin. It is correct to say the king proper comes (originally, upon assumption of his position of authority) from the north which can not geographically be Europe as a place of origin of the antichrist.

4. The historical "king of the north" (to be distinguished from the prophetic "king of the north") was the king of Assyria. (see Daniel chapter 11) Assyria is not in Europe.

5. The historical "king of the north" (Assyria) fought against the historical "king of the south" (Egypt) exactly as the prophetic "king of the north" will when he (the antichrist) conquers Egypt. (see Daniel chapter 11)

6. The kingdom of antichrist grows in three directions toward the south, the east and toward the pleasant land. (the pleasant land is Israel).

Daniel 8:9 And out of one of them [ one of Alexander the Great's 4 divisions ] came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east and toward the pleasant land

If this kingdom waxes EXCEEDING GREAT,
TOWARD THE SOUTH,
EAST,
and the PLEASANT LAND (Israel/Palestine).

Follow me here: these directions point to 3 mutually exclusive compass directions.

The kingdom (not the king) is growing in THREE (3) directions. If the kingdom was West of Israel, EAST and the PLEASANT LAND would be the same direction. Therefore, the kingdom is NOT west of Israel. If the kingdom was North of Israel, the SOUTH and PLEASANT LAND would be redundant. Therefore, the kingdom is not north of Israel. This leaves SOUTH of Israel and EAST of Israel as our 2 choices. We have to eliminate the SOUTH of Israel because the antichrist attacks and conquers the king of the south - Egypt .

This leaves us with EAST of Israel as the place of the antichrist's kingdom. 06-08-2005 emendation starts here> The kingdom (as distinct from the king) is predominantly EAST of Israel. This kingdom comes into play after the king has received a crown, giving him more territory/authority than he initially had. This kingdom has the 7 heads and 10 horns and it represents the developed and expanded kingdom of the antichrist depicted in Revelation 13 and forward.

7. In a military campaign moving toward the south (toward Egypt) antichrist will establish his headquarters in Israel. If he was in Europe he could not do this. (Actually, it appears that the antichrist returns from a southern campaign against Egypt.)

8. Arguments from a negative viewpoint are never quite as good as positive arguments. However, at this point let it be said that there are no scriptures which say that the antichrist is European or Roman. On the otherhand, there are scriptures which do say that he is an Assyrian. If one stopped at Daniel 2 a case might could be made that the antichrist was from Rome. However, one can not stop at Daniel 2, but, must include Daniel 7 and 8. (see Note A)

9. The antichrist arises AMONG ten kings. These ten kings are clearly Muslim nations.

Note A:

In Daniel 9:26 it says that the "people (Romans) of the prince that shall come" (the antichrist) "shall destroy the city and the sanctuary." This says that the antichrist will be descended from Roman peoples. There is a Muslim king whose mother was British. There is also research on the internet that shows that the Etruscans were originally from Assyria.

the Etruscans, seem to have sailed from Asia Minor to found a state in the forest wildernesses of middle Italy; some built themselves cities upon the south-east coasts of the Mediterranean and became later that people known in history as the Philistines. http://www.bartleby.com/86/18.html

Somewhere between 900 and 800 BC, the Italian peninsula was settled by a mysterious peoples called the Etruscans. We don't know where the Etruscans came from, but archaeologists suspect that they came from the eastern Mediterannean, possibly Asia Minor. http://ancienthistory.about.com

The Roman historian Dionysius of Halicarnassus stated that this new culture had deemed themselves Rasenna, or Rasna. One theory of this name is that a large number of immigrants were from Resen, a city in Assyria. Their route is believed to have taken them from Assyria to a place called Eluthya in Egypt, where there are supposedly tomb decorations that are similar to the Etruscans. http://www.vintageadventure.com/flash/history/default.asp

In Daniel 11:37 it says "neither shall he regard the God of his fathers". Many claim that this means that the antichrist is Jewish. However, since Ishmael (the father of the Moslem nations) is the son of Abraham, it means the antichrist is a semite, one of the semitic nations.

I found the following excerpt on the web and was astonished at what kind of expectations the Jews have regarding the messiah. When you read this, keep in mind what has already happend and that oil may be discovered in Israel in the future. Also compare this description with what sort of person you think the antichrist will be.

The traditional Jewish understanding of the messiah is non-supernatural, and is best elucidated by Maimonides (Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon), in his commentary to tractate Sanhedrin, of the Babylonian Talmud. He writes:

"The Messianic age is when the Jews will regain their independence and all return to the land of Israel. The Messiah will be a very great king, he will achieve great fame, and his reputation among the gentile nations will be even greater than that of King Solomon. His great righteousness and the wonders that he will bring about will cause all peoples to make peace with him and all lands to serve him.... Nothing will change in the Messianic age, however, except that Jews will regain their independence. Rich and poor, strong and weak, will still exist. However it will be very easy for people to make a living, and with very little effort they will be able to accomplish very much.... it will be a time when the number of wise men will increase...war shall not exist, and nation shall no longer lift up sword against nation.... The Messianic age will be highlighted by a community of the righteous and dominated by goodness and wisdom. It will be ruled by the Messiah, a righteous and honest king, outstanding in wisdom, and close to God. Do not think that the ways of the world or the laws of nature will change, this is not true. The world will continue as it is. The prophet Isaiah predicted "The wolf shall live with the sheep, the leopard shall lie down with the kid." This, however, is merely allegory, meaning that the Jews will live safely, even with the formerly wicked nations. All nations will return to the true religion [monotheism, although not necessarily Judaism] and will no longer steal or oppress. Note that all prophecies regarding the Messiah are allegorical - Only in the Messianic age will we know the meaning of each allegory and what it comes to teach us. Our sages and prophets did not long for the Messianic age in order that they might rule the world and dominate the gentiles....the only thing they wanted was to be free for Jews to involve themselves with the Torah and its wisdom."

Just wanted to get your thoughts on the boom of psychics and mediums out there...People who are, by all oberservant accounts, actually communing with the dead...I know the bible warns against these people...but my question is this, Are they for real? Are they actually doing what they seem to be doing? If they are, what circumstances surround these 'spirits'? what are they doing? are they souls waiting to be taken home or cast into the lake? I just dont know...this has been on my mind alot the past few days and I'd like to get some thoughts. There seem to be more and more of these people becoming popularized...shows like "Most Haunted," "Ghost Hunters," "John Edwards," and now that lady on Lifetime... I watch TBN (Trinity Broadcast Network...Christian TV) a lot and try to catch any prophecy related bits...but this phenomenon seems to be one thats overlooked, or not discussed. What are your thoughts?

What do we do to a apostate person do we send him away or do we love him, and persuade him to repent of his era........elohim

"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction." -2nd Peter 2:1

2 Peter 2 -
The apostle, having in the foregoing chapter exhorted them to proceed and advance in the Christian race, now comes to remove, as much as in him lay, what he could not but apprehend would hinder their complying with his exhortation. He therefore gives them fair warning of false teachers, by whom they might be in danger of being seduced. To prevent this,

He describes these seducers as impious in themselves, and very pernicious to others (2Pe_2:1-3).

He assures them of the punishment that shall be inflicted on them (2Pe_2:3-6).

He tells us how contrary the method is which God takes with those who fear him (2Pe_2:7-9).

He fills up the rest of the chapter with a further description of those seducers of whom he would have them beware.

I hope I am not opening a huge can of worms here, but I wanted to get opinions on female pastors etc...

I have always believed that women play a huge part in the church but should not be ordained as ministers, or act as deacons etc based on my interpretation of scripture... Before we 'get into this' discussion... I wanted to get some general opinions...

What do you think?

The Secret Rapture
Who originated the "secret rapture"? Is it Biblical?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Nelson_Darby - John Nelson Darby (March 3, 1801 - April 29th, 1882) is noted in the theological world as the father of "dispensationalism," later made popular in the United States by Cyrus Scofield's Scofield Reference Bible (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyrus_Scofield). Darby originated the "secret rapture" theory wherein Christ will snatch away his true believers from this world without warning.

Darby created this false teaching during the 1830's. Talk about apostasy...
